If you'd like to borrow a book from an offsite library, you'll need to fill out a request form and give it to Mrs. Gerdes.

Keep in mind it will take a few days to be sent through the mail, and sometimes they deny our requests, but if you really need something, it's worth an ask!

SEARCHING ONLINE: You have several options when you need information.

Even though there are perfectly good sources in the databases above...I know you like to use Google. Me too! But - we have to be SMART Googlers, especially when using it for an academic purpose.

I encourage you to review my SOURCE EVALUATION MODULE to make sure you are considering where the information is coming from. Here are some quick links to help you get to academic Google sources and some direct links to news sites if those would be helpful in your search:

Google: Advanced Search Remember you can use the domain feature to limit to maybe .gov or .edu sites to increase the reliability of your sources. Google Scholar Lots of times these link you to a site that asks you to pay for the article. You can connect to libraries in our state that could maybe give us access to those articles.
