Suicide Prevention

September is National Suicide Prevention Month, with World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10. According to the World Health Organization, suicide accounts for more than 700,000 deaths each year globally.

The idea behind National Suicide Prevention Month, and World Suicide Prevention Day is to encourage people to start the conversation around suicide to help those who may be struggling in our community. The main message, "suicide is preventable."

As a school community, we hope to foster connection and support for all our students and Firebird families.
