Muting and Locking iPads

Classroom allows you to mute individual or all student devices. In addition, you can lock all iPads to get student attention during a lesson, activity, or announcement.

 

Mute

Select a student, a group of students or your entire class, then tap Mute to mute the sound.

 

Locking

To lock devices, select a student, a group of students, or your entire class, then tap Lock.

Tap Unlock to unlock devices.

The screen will show a lock symbol and students will be unable to access them until unlocked.
